Our new advertising campaign:

Current Advertising Campaign
The RSL’s 2008/2009 advertising campaign has launched a new look and message for Queensland. The campaign incorporated television, radio and print commercials with the major project dates being two weeks prior to and after ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.
The new campaign incorporated a link back to last year’s which was designed to create community awareness and to also inform the public that the RSL exists for a wide range of people, both young and old.
In the TV ad it was decided to use RSL employees as well as Army, Air Force and Navy officers from Defence Force recruiting. The main aim of the new campaign was to set the league apart from the RSL clubs, address misconceptions about what the RSL offered and, most importantly, to encourage younger people to join.
The emphasis was on services offered to members and the extent to which the league would assist them in times of need. There was a definite case to specifically appeal to the needs of the desired audience - potential members
They said they wanted benefits to be clearly set out so they knew exactly what they would receive if they were to become members.
