RSL (Queensland Branch) made a commitment in 2010 to sponsor at-risk youth through Scripture Union Queensland's Connect Program.

Through a $96,000 donation, RSL (Queensland Branch) will help SU Qld transform the lives of around 140 young people across 14 schools over the next 12 months.

SU Qld's Connect Program is a long-term, adventure-based, early prevention and intervention learning program designed to help young people who are at risk of suicide, are facing exclusion from school, come from broken homes, or are locked in to cycles of addiction.

It aims to break negative habits and behavioural cycles by helping young people critically evaluate their experiences in school and within the community through experiential learning camps involving activities such as abseiling, hiking, canoeing and ropes courses.
