support our fundraising appeals
RSL Queensland holds two major fundraising appeals each year – the ANZAC Appeal, held in the weeks leading up to ANZAC Day, and the Poppy Appeal, held in the lead-up to Remembrance Day.
During these periods, our Sub Branch volunteers are out in force around Queensland – in shopping centres and train stations, and even at the Brisbane Airport! We encourage you to stop and talk to our volunteers – learn more about what we do to support Queensland's Defence family, and show your support.
As part of these appeals, we also conduct Ambushes in Brisbane's CBD, with ADF volunteers and RSL Queensland staff taking to the street to sell badges, pens, Defence teddies and other merchandise to raise funds to support veteran welfare.
Our CBD Ambushes are now fully digitised, so there's no need to dig around for cash – you can simply tap and go!
Anzac Appeal update
In response to government direction around COVID19, the physical ANZAC Street Appeal will not be taking place in April this year.
Despite physical sales not happening this year, you can show your support online and still honour their sacrifice by donating to the ANZAC Appeal.
