RSL Queensland Scholarships

RSL Queensland Scholarships

RSL Queensland’s charitable activities extend beyond those who have served or are serving in the Australian Defence Force to include their dependants, with the RSL Queensland Scholarship scheme providing funding to assist children of Australian veterans in achieving tertiary qualifications.

Launched in 2017, RSL Queensland’s scholarships program provides funding and support to help the children and spouses of ADF members and veterans in achieving tertiary or vocational qualifications.

Each scholarship is worth up to $12,000 paid over three years and can be used towards educational expenses such as course fees and educational resources.

Successful applicants are determined based on factors including merit, financial hardship and deservedness.

Applications for the 2018 RSL Queensland Scholarship open on 18 August, 2017 and close on 31 October, 2017. Successful applicants will be notified in early 2018.

The scholarship program is managed by the Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) on behalf of RSL Queensland. AVCAT is a national, independent charity helping give the children and grandchildren of Australian veterans a better future through education.
