Ipswich 72nd Korean War Veterans' Day

Join us to commemorate

All are invited to attend the Korean War Veterans' Day Service

Commemorating the 72nd Anniversary of Australia’s involvement in the Korean War.

This special service honours the service and sacrifice of the Australian men and women who served during the Korean War, which began in 1950 and marked Australia's first significant military commitment under the banner of the United Nations.

Often referred to as the "Forgotten War," the Korean War had a lasting impact on thousands of Australian families and shaped Australia's role in global peacekeeping. More than 17,000 Australians served, with over 1,500 wounded and 340 losing their lives. This commemorative day ensures their courage and dedication are remembered and their legacy preserved.

Your presence at this service is a powerful act of remembrance and gratitude, ensuring that the contributions of our Korean War veterans continue to be recognised and honoured by future generations.

Ipswich RSL Sub Branch invites all Korean War Veterans & their families to attend the 72nd Anniversary Commemorative Service.
