Service member
For active or retired members of Defence.
Women's Auxiliary
For female relatives of Defence personnel or any woman wanting to support veterans. Includes access to social events, volunteering and fundraising opportunities.
Citizens’ Auxiliary
For non-veteran community members. Includes community engagement, volunteering and support roles.
Social member (non-League)
For those interested in socialising at and supporting an RSL Sub Branch without formal membership.
Frequently asked questions
No. RSL Queensland offers membership options for current and ex-serving Defence personnel, their family members and people in the wider community who want to support veterans and their local Sub Branch. Membership types available vary between Sub Branches, so not all membership types may be offered at every Sub Branch.
You can choose the RSL Queensland Sub Branch that you would like to join as part of your application. You can find a list RSL Sub Branches across Queensland here and learn more about their services and activities before choosing.
To become an RSL Queensland member online, you must currently reside in Australia.
If you live outside Australia and would like to enquire about membership, please contact the Memberships team at memberships@rslqld.org.
If any of your supporting documents are not in English, you’ll need to provide a NAATI-certified English translation of the document as part of your application.
Once you submit your application, it will be sent to your nominated Sub Branch for review and approval. The Sub Branch may contact you if they need any additional information to process your application.
Once your application has been reviewed, you’ll be notified of the outcome. Your membership is not confirmed until your application has been approved, and any applicable membership fees have been paid.
