    Services Australia and DVA Desert Rose Mobile Service Centre

    DVA has partnered with Services Australia to give veterans and their families in rural and remote areas face-to-face access to DVA and Services Australia through to Mobile Services Centre (MSC) pilot.

    They can assist you with:

    • registering and using the agency’s online services

    • new claims for Centrelink payments

    • updating and confirming Centrelink and Medicare information

    • information on how financial matters may impact on payments

    • assistance with payment and service options

    • rural payment entitlements for eligible farmers

    • non-cash Medicare transactions

    • enrolling for and issuing new Medicare cards

    • updating and re-issuing Medicare cards

    • social work support and referrals.

    What is the Mobile Service Centre (MSC)?

    The MSC is essentially an 'office on wheels' that travels to rural and regional locations throughout Australia. The Services Australia staff on board the MSCs have been trained by DVA and can provide information about DVA services as well as assisted access to online services.

    Augathella, opposite the rural transaction centre, Main Street, 5 May, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm

    Quilpie, in front of the council office, Brolga Street, 6 May, 11 am to 4 pm and 7 May, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

    Cunnamulla, opposite the shire hall, Jane Street, 12 May, 11 am to 4 pm and 13 May, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

    Thargomindah, near the swimming pool, Stafford Street, 14 May, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

    Bollon, in front of the civic centre, Balonne Highway, 15 May, 10:30 am to 3:00 pm

    Surat, in front of Lions Park, Burrowes Street, 18 May, 10:00 am to 3:30 pm

    St George, near the council chambers, Grey Street, 19 May, 9 am to 4 pm and 20 May, 9 am to 3 pm
