A 3-day, hands on workshop, designed to improve nutritional intake and educate on basic permaculture theories.
The 'Paddock to Plate' is a 3-day Permaculture (organic gardening) and nutrition workshop for Veterans. Delivered in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, at Yandina Community Gardens, supported by RSL Queensland.
The workshop is a Veteran led program, designed by Veterans for Veterans & is 100% free, thanks to our sponsor RSL Queensland.
It aims to support Veterans living with both mental and physical health challenges relating to their military service. Current and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force are eligible to attend, regardless of health status. Limited spots are also available for carers of veterans, as well as overseas veterans, upon request.
The focus of the program is to provide veterans with the knowledge and skills, using permaculture principles and clinical nutrition, to design and implement sustainable growing systems in their own home, as well as make informed dietary choices to improve their general well-being.
Lunch included.
Free accommodation may be available at Diggers Rest. Please email Will at admin@diginhealthco.com.au to find out more.
