Veterans who need subsidised, independent living in North Queensland may be able to apply for long-term accommodation in the Burdekin Villas in Ayr.
The Villas contain:
- two bedrooms with built-in wardrobes
- spacious living area
- modern kitchen
- one bathroom
- air-conditioning and ceiling fans
- internal laundry
- garage with remote-controlled access
- fully fenced private garden with garden maintenance provided.
THE DETAILS
Burdekin Villas is located on the north side of the Burdekin River, 85 kilometres south of Townsville, in the rural community of Ayr.
If you have served in the ADF and can live independently, you are eligible to apply to live at Burdekin Villas.
Housing is allocated on a needs basis, with consideration given to financial circumstances.

Our long-term veteran housing is subsidised, with consideration given to your specific situation.
You will be required to pay an agreed amount of rent and sign a Rental Tenancy Authority lease agreement.
