National Volunteer Week

Celebrating thE Change Makers

While we're thankful every day for the role volunteers play in our communities, as part of National Volunteer Week (15-21 May), we'll be shining an extra bright light on our volunteers’ dedication and commitment to making our communities stronger.

This year's theme is ‘The Change Makers’ – a celebration of our power to drive change and ensure volunteering is inclusive of all members of the community.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of RSL Queensland, and we want to take this opportunity to recognise and thank them for their contribution. Without the thousands of people – both RSL Queensland members, non-members and partners – who support veterans and their families throughout Queensland, we simply could not function.

Thanking Our Thousands of VOlunteers

RSL Queensland provides vital services to veterans and their families, and much of this work could not happen without thousands of passionate volunteers across the state.

RSL Queensland State President Major General Stephen Day DSC AM and a selection of RSL Queensland staff came together to say 'thank you' to the volunteers who give so much to support veterans and their families in their local communities.

Stories Of Our Volunteers

An annual initiative of Volunteering Australia, National Volunteer Week gives us the perfect reason to highlight volunteer stories and celebrate all that volunteers do. And we do this knowing there's more we need to do to support our Sub Branch volunteers.

So, while we celebrate during National Volunteer Week, it doesn't stop there. We'll keep aiming to help you in practical ways, every day.
